🎁Religious Festivals in the UK

In the UK, there are lots of festivals that aren't Christian. For example:

Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of Ramadan, when Muslims fast for a whole month. It changes every year because it's based on the moon. On Eid, Muslims pray in the morning, spend time with family, and give each other gifts.

Eid ul-Adha is another Muslim festival. It's about remembering the Prophet Ibrahim and his willingness to sacrifice his son when God asked him to. Many Muslims sacrifice an animal and share the meat with their community, especially those in need.

Diwali is celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs in October or November, lasting for 5 days. It's all about good beating bad and learning new things.

Hanukkah is celebrated by Jews in November or December, lasting for 8 days. It's about remembering when Jewish people fought for their religious freedom. They light a candle on a special candle holder called a menorah each day of the festival.

🚨Fun Fact: During Diwali, some people in the UK decorate their homes with colorful lights and eat lots of yummy sweets!
